Axgard® material is approximately 200 times stronger than glass of the same thickness and it is therefore classed as virtually unbreakable. Unlike many other plastic glazing options Axgard® sheets are protected on both sides by an additional layer which protects the material from degradation due to the effects of ultraviolet light. Due to its very high impact strength, Axgard® is easy to cut or drill without breakage.
