Fantastic looking LVT floor in classic natural oak
In short, the Quick Step natural oak LVT looks the part and has given our living room a massive facelift. Highly recommended.
Longer version: The wife and I were looking to replace the previous owner's dreary carpets in our living room with something nicer and I was decided on an engineered floor. However, a friend mentioned "luxury vinyl", which I never would have even thought about otherwise. I'm glad I went with LVT as it looks and feels absolutely fantastic. Turns out our floor is nowhere near level and had 60's asbestos tiles under the carpets that I didn't want to touch. So I just ended up filling the gaps where the tiles had broken with self levelling compound, applied the LVT underlay and slapped the LVT on. As it's flexible, it goes ~OK over the unnevenness / slight bumps of our floor.
Disclaimer: I'm a moderate DIY'er.
