What is Renewable Energy?

We often hear a variety of terms: renewable energy, sustainability, alternative energy, but what exactly is renewable energy? Explained simply, it’s an energy source that won’t run out as quickly as it is used, such as sunlight, wind and waves. Renewable energy is an alternative to the fossil fuels we most commonly use in everyday life; these include coal, oil and gas - these types of energy sources are non-renewable, because once they’re gone, they’re gone!
