Macmillan Legacy Garden 2023

For the third year running, Macmillan Cancer Support won the show garden silver medal at the RHS Flower Show Tatton Park.

The theme for their 2023 legacy garden was Growing the Future Together, which celebrates the kindness of those who leave a gift to Macmillan in their will. The generosity of others makes a huge difference to those who are living with, or have been affected by, cancer. 

The Travis Perkins team at the Knutsford branch supported Macmillan with materials to help build the award-winning garden.

This years’ garden at the RHS flower show was designed by Lynn Cordall and built by Mustard Seed.

It’s not obvious from the pictures, but the garden is of triangular shape with a metal pergola featuring a water element - promoting a feeling of calm and relaxation. 

The main plants in the garden were silver birch trees, a variety of grasses, and perennials showing off their peaceful hues of whites, blues, and yellows - all on a backdrop of spritely greens.
