Marshalltown MXS series Plasterers finishing trowels have an aluminium alloy mounting and are very light, but as strong as steel. The flexible blade is of the highest grade spring steel, tempered, ground and polished and the blade is fastened to the mounting with ten hard steel rivets.

A light lacquer is applied to the base of every blade of the finished product, its purpose is to prevent rust whilst being stored and transported. The lacquer can easily be removed before using the product and any peeling will not result in a problem with the blade.
