Building Cancer Support
Travis Perkins and Macmillan are continuing to proudly work together to raise money to fund vital services and support for people living with cancer and their families, whilst increasing awareness of the support available.
Since we began our partnership with Macmillan in 2015, Travis Perkins employees, customers and suppliers have embraced the Macmillan cause passionately. From fun activities in branch, to office dress-down day, raffles, collections or fundraising product promotions - such as the 4Trade Wheelbarrow which raised £31,935 in Autumn 2016, everyone has got involved in making the partnership a resounding success.
In 2015 and 2016, we raised £817,238 for Macmillan and including Benchmarx Kitchens & Joinery, raised a total of £1,054,238. In 2017 we’re aiming to raise even more money, to help ensure that more people can receive the help and advice they need.
Today, there are 2.5 million people living with cancer in the UK. People like Patrick, who was diagnosed with testicular cancer at 26.
‘When I received my cancer diagnosis, it was pretty devastating,’ says Patrick. ‘I considered myself young and fit, so this news was difficult to deal with. I received fantastic support from Macmillan.’
