Great little saw, I bought this specifically to cut through 1 inch bronze bar, it does it easily.

This is an excellent...
This is an excellent Chop Saw for the money, surprisingly quick cutting through metal so its best taking it a bit slower to achieve a burr free finish. Do wear eye protection and follow the manufactures guide lines. Good machine, would recommend it for home or light commercial work.

I'm a beginner welder...
I'm a beginner welder and needed something to cut 1/8 to 1/4 steel. The rage 4 cuts this metal like butter. One of my best tools in my arsenal

my new saw
It's fine value for money but would be so much better if you could see more easily where the blade was coming down on what you were cutting and so allow you to make a much more precision cut. I guess the answer is in the description "Chop Saw" -- not designed for precision cutting. It certainly cuts aluminium very easily.

Great quality powerful...
Great quality powerful clean cutter.
The only down side is the screwe clamp is useless when you move the backstop.
Another problem is the backstop can be pushed back when you are trying to get a firm grip on a object that you are cutting.
