HDG200 Heat Gun
I have been using it at low temperatures, 130-140C and it worked well ... except .... on two occasions it suddenly shot up to a much higher temperature while in use. No damage done but confidence in it is dented so I now keep a very close eye on the temperature readout!

Some good , some bad points
The variable blow and heat controls help in a variety of jobs.
The accessories are important to every job yet there are poor quality and poor design. Pressing out metal is simple, design is important for s tool to actually used. Two are particularly poor and evolution is cursed everyone.

Not had it very long...
Not had it very long but have used it to dry some damp garden furniture prior to painting and it worked really well. It heated up quickly and had a high air speed. The temperature control seems to be very good and I am looking forward to using it to seal and shrink film on a model rc plane I am making.
Evolution should advertise in RCM&E magazine as there are no other heat guns with controllable temperature output that I know of in this price bracket.

Very Good fitting in...
Very Good fitting in Hand and Useability. Only two Points that Disturbs at work.
First The three way settings would be nice in an seperate switch ( best 4 Way low, middle, high, manuel)
This brings me to point 2 if you turn of and on, all settings are lost. So you have to set the Fan again to your settings you need.

The heat gun has...
The heat gun has proved useful for shrink-wrapping cables and softening sound insulation panels. When used in low ambient temperatures the gun can struggle to hold to 50 degrees but increasing the temperature set point by 10-20 degrees resolves this issue.

very poor quality, I am on my third heat gun, within the first year, all changed under warranty. I am using this to strip windows frames in my house not exactly a heavy duty application
there is an omission in the user manual, you are only supposed to use this for 30 minutes in the hour, does not say much for your confidence in the product
I bought this because a cheaper unit failed, looks like this is not much better
if it was more reliable it would get 5 stars, but its not.
