Carrier Bags

Carrier Bag Legislation

As part of the Travis Perkins Group, Travis Perkins are fully committed to protecting the environment and are continually looking for new ways to improve the environmental performance of all their trading activities.

The UK Devolved Governments' increase to single use carrier bags to 10p came into force in May 2021 for England. The aim of the increase is to further reduce the use of plastic bags and the litter associated with them and to encourage people to reuse bags and businesses to look for alternative solutions. To find out more visit. gov.uk/carrierbags. As a business, we have made the decision to charge 10p per single use carrier bag in all the devolved nations in the UK.
