Great solution for stack blowback in shower tray waste
We had a problem of blowback from the sewer stack in a shallow shower tray P-trap. Inserting this waste valve in the drop of the 40mm waste pipe cured the problem. Expensive, yes, but it does the job and saved a lot of wrecking ceilings and floors to get at the original pipe work. Recommended.

Useful in certain situations but comes at a high cost.
This is a great product which will deliver a solution in certain difficult situations where other solutions are not practicable, however it's at a (not so economic) cost. The price even with TP trade discount is excessive when you consider the cost of manufacture , circa £1 or so. Sadly this will put people off using it. The other issue is first time leaks on the coupling despite a strong wrist to tighten... I had to PTFE the threads to get it water tight.Overall a good but pricey product.
