The kitchen installer bodged the job tried to fit a 100mm vent hose to the exhaust. The installation instructions say it needs 150mm, but that's way too big and the diagram is wrong. It looks to be about 120mm but there's no spec to go by. Because it was fitted with a small hose, the non return flaps don't rise and the vent doesn't work while making a horrendous noise

Don't bother
Used for 20 months and now broken, will replace with a better brand. Stopped extracting and replaced fuse, still not working but the lights work

Terrible - bought this a few month ago. It makes plenty of noise but doesn't suck up any steam at full power so the surrounding kitchen is dripping with just one boiling pan. The extractor then drips back into the pan.
Merchant Response We're sorry to hear you've been experiencing this with your extractor. The performance can be affected depending on how this has been installed and the conditions at time of cooking. If the cooker hood is installed to be vented out then we would recommend the ducting is fitted with a minimal run to the outside at a slight decline, with as few bends as possible and using rigid ducting with as large a diameter as possible. If installed in recirculation, please ensure there is a sufficient space or cut out for the air to be returned to the room and this is not restricted. To improve performance, we would recommend turning on the extractor before you start to cook to generate the airflow required to extract efficiently and if the hood is vented out, then opening a window slightly will help to increase the airflow into the room and for the extractor to work optimally. We would recommend your grease filters are regularly cleaned to avoid build up of grease and dust which could also affect air flow. To reduce the amount of moisture in the air which turns into condensation, we can also recommend using pan lids and heating the room beforehand. If you would like to discuss this further please contact our appliance helpline on 03444 995 599.
