I have completed the wall building using this brick.
A lovely looking old fashioned brick.
I built walls all round my garden, which makes it tidier and more easier to maintain.
It looks just like those splendid garden surrounds at a Tudor mansion.
I am very happy with what I have accomplished, especially as this was my very first time at Bricklaying, which really was not so difficult, although I was not as quick as a professional. But why the rush, it was a very stimulating and healthy active pursuit to undertake during Lockdown for the beginning of 2020.
The Ibstock Red Engineering Class B Brick is a high-strength, low water absorption brick designed for structural applications. Manufactured using a perforated, wirecut process, it offers exceptional compressive strength, making it ideal for foundations, retaining walls, and other load-bearing projects. Its low water absorption reduces the risk of frost damage and enhances durability. As an engineering brick, it is specified for its performance rather than its appearance, meaning it is not intended for facing work. Where aesthetics are a priority, a facing brick should be used instead. Please note this product is produced in Ibstocks Chesterton factory and is therefore more suited to counties in the Midlands & South
