I had been looking for a 10x4 windowless shed with matching width double doors to accommodate my motorbike for about 5 months. I had just got to the point of giving up and ordering the timber to make it myself when I stumbled across Power Sheds. Initially impressed by the website and customer pictures I thought it ...

Responsive customer service
Bought an 8x6 premium apex shed, which looked great when it arrived in the pallet. During construction I found one of the 4ft panels was badly out of square and couldn't be screwed to the adjacent panel. The two 2ft panels were shorter than the 4ft panels, so couldn't be used as the gable ends won't sit on top properly if there's a step between the side panels. After a few days emailing back and forth, Power Sheds sent out three replacement panels. The 2ft ones were fine, and the 4ft one was square but had badly misaligned cladding that didn't line up with the adjacent panel. I ended up using the original panel after loosening the bracing and using a lump hammer and 5ft clamp to beat and force it into square. Then, during roof installation, I found the central truss and one of the gable ends are misaligned so the roof doesn't sit properly. There are lots of other minor issues too that are the result of poor quality control and lack of attention during manufacturing. The customer service has been responsive; they've taken responsibility and offered solutions, so I think you can buy with confidence. If it wasn't for the unfortunate quality issues I've had, it would be straight 5 star experience. I'd buy from them again based on my overall experience.

Highly recommended!
I have seen many sheds but this is the best. They are well made, easy to put up and very sturdy. They aren't the cheapest but you pay for what you get and believe this one will last for many many years. Thank you

Good experience
Our experience of powersheds has been great. The shed arrived very quickly and in good condition, all parts present. It looks like it's a good quality shed that will last. We used Dave Bennett from Powersheds list of installers to assemble our shed. We can highly recommend Dave. He assembled the shed quickly and professionally, and tidied up the area afterwards.
Merchant Response Hi Sarah, Thank you for this great review. We are so glad the high standards we have set for ourselves have been met. We will certainly pass on the great feedback to Dave! All the best, Power Sheds

Outstanding in every way
Excellent quality 10 x 6 Apex shed - Delivered on time by friendly and helpfull driver. Everything you need to assemble the shed is included and along with a wealth of information and "how to" videos on the well laid out website its a doddle to put together. The quality of the wood and the construction of the pre-made panels is superb - everything perfectly square and as someone said in another review it fits together like lego! Customer service is excellent too and a few queries I had were responded to on the same day. This company obviously cares a great deal about both the quality their products and their customers and it shows. Outstanding.
Merchant Response Hi Peter, Thank you so much for this review. We try our best to make the shed buying process as simple as possible and I'm really glad we've managed to meet the standards we set for ourselves. All the best, Power Sheds

I ordered and erected a 18 x 8 apex shed and base.
I ordered a 18 x 8 apex shed and base. After researching which shed I should buy I finally decided on Power Shed and wasn't disappointed. It was delivered on time; the driver explaining where the instructions would be and best way to unpack it. Great advice. It took me 2 days to erect it; with a little help from my wife, following the the clear instructions provided. The quality is good and I would have no hesitation in buying another shed from them. My only small criticism is that the screws and nails are mixed together and you have to sort them out. (a pain when you just want to get on with putting your shed together) I don't think it would be too much of a problem to put them in separate bags?
Merchant Response Hello, Thank you for your review! I'm glad you found the shed simple to erect and are loving it now you've got it built. I also thank you for the feedback regarding the screws, we are always looking for areas to improve so we will take this on board. All the best, Power Sheds

A decent shed but some improvements required
Overall I'm happy enough with my 8x2 shed, but the high cost and boastful website would lead you to believe it's a cut above. I've built a few sheds in my lifetime and I'd say it's only marginally better than the budget ones I've had. The first issue I experienced was the modular nature of the design. The base and roof needed some construction before commencing the build, as a 6ft panel had to be joined to a 2ft panel. Whilst the roof was easy as the battens run along the short length, the base was more difficult as the battens run the full length and are just butted together. The instructions say screw them together but unless you use pocket holes to screw together, I'm not sure how that's possible. Luckily I had fixing plates that were perfect for the job. The instructions are as poor as any flat packed item but we're made worse by a one size fits all approach, leaving you on your own to figure out what part you might need for your specific shed. The panels had marker pen scribbles on them (presumably for picking/packing as they didn't correlate to anything in the instructions) so it shouldn't be too hard or two expensive to label up each panel and show the numbers/letters on the diagrams for the actual shed you've purchased. Finally, I didn't expect to have to cut down fascia boards to fit. I would have expected them to be pre cut for the shed I bought. Again, signs of a modular design that keeps manufacturing costs down, which would be fine but the sheds are on the pricey side. Overall, I'm happy with the shed, though it took way longer to build than expected and a mind boggling amount to individual parts to sort through. Update Whilst my original review is accurate, I will say this for Power Sheds, their aftersales care is excellent. They've done everything they could to ensure I'm happy with my purchase. It's customer service like this that helps bump the overall experience to 4 stars.
Merchant Response Hi Chris - thanks for your review and feedback. As you know we have been in touch with you directly to try leave you more satisfied with your purchase. All the best for the future

Quality product
I really struggled to find a decent shed, DIY store ones had really poor reviews. Bought and built the 8x6 apex and very pleased with it. I did have some issues with a warped base kit, but that was resolved quickly. The build video was very useful although that man seemed to be on fast forward.
Merchant Response Hello, Thank you for this 5 star review! We are very happy you're pleased with your order and if an issue does arise we aim to have this resolved in the quickest way possible. We do hope you enjoy your new Powershed for many years to come! All the best, Power Sheds

O.A.P orders and builds large shed
As an O.A.P I ordered a 12ft x 8ft wooden shed which came as described on a compact single pallet. I was able to complete the build with occasional help from my son in a day. I would recommend and particularly liked the optional strong base.
One of Forest's best selling Log Cabins, the Chiltern has an Apex roof configuration and a 4m x 3m footprint making it a compact yet usable building. The fully glazed front aspect allows plenty of light in while the solid side and back walls maximise wall space for shelving and furniture or other equipment. This makes the Chiltern suitable for a variety of uses from home office to hobby room or a garden gym. Internal floor dimensions of 3.73m x 2.73m (12'3" x 8'11") offer a useful 10.2 square metres (110 square feet) of accommodation. This cabin is manufactured to a high standard with the two large front windows featuring a tilt and turn operation. All glazing is toughened glass with the option of single or double glazed. The doors can be located on the left or right of the front aspect as the cabin is built. Kiln dried 34mm smooth-planed interlocking logs are used for the walls and 19mm Tongue & Groove boards for the roof and floor. As well as a choice of single or double glazing, three felt options are available: Polyester felt with or without underlay, a higher grade/weight (34kg per 10m) Polyester felt with underlay or Felt Shingles with underlay. This model option is single glazed and is fitted with felt shingles and underlay. All deliveries are made by vehicles with a crane off-load facility and with an optional professional assembly service. The log cabin must be built upon a solid and level surface such as a poured concrete base.
The size and specification of the Rushock Log Cabin make this mid-large size model perfect for a wide range of uses. The apex roof design of this model is a more traditional alternative to pent roof designs and offers a little more head room in the centre of the cabin where the apex height is 2.47 metres. This substantial log cabin has a footprint 5m wide x 4m deep and uses 45mm thick interlocking logs for the walls and 19mm tongue and groove boards for the floor and roof. Double glazed double doors at the front have a tilt and turn double glazed window on either side with two more 3/4 length double glazed tilt and turn side windows (one either side) so plenty of natural light can get in. All windows are double glazed with toughened glass. The Rushock's overall dimensions are 5.24 metres wide x 4.34 metres deep (17 x 14 feet) while internal floor dimensions of 4.7m x 3.7m give a total floor area of 17.5 m² (188 square feet) which is big enough to have a generous home office and lounge or lounge and dining area or a great leisure room for gaming, TV and hobbies. This impressive size and specification makes the Rushock a very usable and versatile extension to your living space. Different roof felt options are available with this option being supplied with 24kg weight Polyester felt plus a black sand felt underlay. The felt has a polyester fibre base layer that makes it much stronger and more tear resistant than non-polyester grades. With more than twice the tear resistance of conventional mineral felt it has a life expectancy of up to 15 years when fitted correctly. All deliveries are made by vehicles with a crane off-load facility and with an optional professional assembly service. The log cabin must be built upon a solid and level surface such as a poured concrete base.
