Sulfacrete is particularly suitable for reducing damage to concrete, mortar and grout exposed to sulphate attack and minimising the risk of alkali silica reaction, reducing the thermally-induced stresses in large pours, concrete exposed to the marine environment. Sulfacrete is a low-alkali Portland-fly ash cement that conforms to the requirements of BS EN 197-1 CEM II/B-V 32,5R. This cement is classified by BS 8500 with a +SR suffix, signifying enhanced sulphate resistance.
A Portland cement containing calcium aluminate to Extra Rapid gives rapid hardening and setting properties for repair and maintenance where rapid hardening is required, eg, setting manholes, repairs to paths and steps, Suitable for concrete, mortar, rendering and floor screeds. Extra Rapid takes foot traffic in 4-6 hours and vehicular traffic in 8-12 hours.
Mastercrete contains cement quality improver to give the following benefits compared with ordinary Portland cement: lower water demand, more cohesive mix, less tendency for water to segregate and bleed and enhanced resistance of hardened concrete or mortar to freeze/thaw attack. Bostik BLOCK C902 (previously Sovereign Hey’di Powder X) is a rapid-setting plugging compound with almost instant curing. It is used to stop water ingress through concrete and masonry, prior to tanking with the Sovereign Hey’di K11 Tanking System. Bostik BLOCK C902 can be applied as a dry powder or mixed with water into a wet paste and used as a plug. It sets in seconds of contact with water, forming a waterproof plug preventing water ingress.
