Excellent hob - large and easy to use
Having used a large gas range cooker for 20 years followed by 18 months of using a dreadful electric ceramic hob we recently had this induction hob installed with a new kitchen. While still not the same as a large gas range hob it's the next best thing.
The layout of the 5 heating zones gives a very spacious feel. The controls are clear and easy to use and the changes in temperature very responsive. The 'boost' function brings a pan of water to the boil very quickly.
Exceptionally easy to clean - we use a damp cloth followed by a micropore duster.
We haven't found any downsides yet.

Style, space and simplicity
Plenty of surface to accommodate all types of pans. Touch controls work well. Controllability is fantastic. Works well with an induction adapter plate for non compatible pans.

Very good, but expensive
My old Bosch induction hob lasted for 20 years, so this was a straight replacement. It fitted in the worktop perfectly with easy electrical connections. It is almost silent in use. Most of the instructions were in German and the electrical diagram was unclear to me.

Easy got scratch
Functions and outlook are excellent but it is very easy to get scratched or crack !?

However, I'm sorry to learn that you've experienced issues with scratching or cracking. The hob is manufactured with toughened glass, but to avoid deep scratches we would suggest checking the hob top for large grains of salt etc.,before placing your pans. This could cause scratching when the pans are moved during cooking. Also, it as advised to check the bottom of the pans for any rough areas.
