Very pleased with my Type 1, looks great quality. Service from the driver was top notch. Called before he arrived to let me know he was on the way. Fast and efficient service, the driver was called Stan. I will certainly be using Travis again.

Poor Quality Control
I only needed three 25kg bags to fill a large pot hole on a gravel drive. I've used it before - then it was pink in colour and the small size of the scalpings made it easy to compress and bind into a solid base. This time, two of the bags were full of grey rocks 50mm to 80mm in diameter, the other bag was 90% dust ...

Driver was fantastic.
Driver was fantastic. Dropped the bags over a 7 foot fence, no problems. Phone to say that he was on his way. Only 4 stars as there was a mix of grit up to 50cm stones. The larger ones seemed to be in groups. I removed by hand once compacted.

I only needed three 25kg bags to fill a large pot hole on a gravel drive. This time, two of the bags were full of grey rocks 50mm to 80mm in diameter, the other bag was 90% dust with a handful of small stones. None of it was fit for purpose. The staff at Farnham are great but this product has slipped through ineffective quality control somewhere along the line.
Merchant Response Dear Tim, many thanks for taking the time to leave a review of the MOT Type 1 Sub Base Bulk Bag you recently purchased. This isn't the norm with these gravel stones, but as this is a natural product there will be differences from time to time. We can only apologise that the product was not up to its usual quality and for the inconvenience this caused you. Your feedback will be raised with the supplier to investigate further. Kind regards, Travis Perkins Team

Great product, great price
I used this as a base for a new patio. Had quite a lot to build up and level and the product was god and laid very easily. Not too much of the large bits so a full five stars for product, price and delivery

It's all about the base, no trouble ! 🎶
I ordered some base materials for a shed on our allotment. The delivery time was accurately indicated and I had a further phone contact from Robert, the driver just prior to delivery. This resulted in the materials being delivered in exactly the right place. Brilliant service, thanks ! .
