After having a fence blown over, in the recent strong winds, I decided to repair as opposed to replace the fence myself.
The existing wooden posts had rotted in the ground, so armed with a couple of concrete spur posts and some bags of Postcrete, I make a very successful repair, to the damaged fence as saved hundr ...
Hydralime may be used with Procem, Mastercrete, General Purpose Cement, Snowcrete and Sulfacrete. Hydralime improves the cohesion, workability, plasticity and long term durability of Mortars and Renders when used. Note that as Hydralime is non-hydraulic, it is not suitable for use in mortars and renders without a Portland cement.
Sulfacrete is particularly suitable for reducing damage to concrete, mortar and grout exposed to sulphate attack and minimising the risk of alkali silica reaction, reducing the thermally-induced stresses in large pours, concrete exposed to the marine environment. Sulfacrete is a low-alkali Portland-fly ash cement that conforms to the requirements of BS EN 197-1 CEM II/B-V 32,5R. This cement is classified by BS 8500 with a +SR suffix, signifying enhanced sulphate resistance.
Pre-mixed and ready to use with the addition of clean water, M4 (designation III) 1:1:6 cement:hydrated lime:sand mortar. Comprising specially graded sand, lime and admixtures this Blue Circle mortar offers convenience, with no compromise in performance or quality. Weather resistant and durable, this mortar is suitable for most general brick and block applications. Also ideal for pointing or gable ends. The mix is highly workable and cohesive, with a long board life.
Sovereign Hey’di Barrier Mortar is a hydrophobic, non-shrinking repair mortar. It is an integral part of the Sovereign Hey’di K11 tanking system, used to create a fillet at wall/wall and wall/floor junctures. Hey’di Barrier Mortar forms a water-resistant mortar that does not shrink, and has excellent adhesion to concrete and mortar. It can be used as a general repair mortar where shrinkage needs to be avoided. Hey’di Barrier Mortar has a long pot life of up to 5 hours, ensuring that waste is kept to a minimum.
