On this occasion I decided to place an order online, comprising 4 sheets of plasterboard and 1 insulation board. Following placement of the order I received an email acknowledgement which gave an estimated transport date of the following day. Further down the email it went on to state the following:

Definately would buy again.
Have just taken out an old style oven and what a mess, had to use this as it will be on an outside wall, easy to cut and get it right and it falls into place.

Damaged sheets
Plasterboard was damaged on the edges . 4 out of the 5 sheets had deep score marks / scratches on the face side . I was doing a job at my son's in Seaford and had come from Wiltshire to do it . Did not have the time to complain and have them replaced .Had to make do and repair what had been delivered . Very disappointed .

Once the order has been received and processed by your local branch they will contact you to arrange a transport date that suits you
So I waited to be contacted.
The following day came and went, no contact. So the next day I rang the Solihull branch to find out when the goods would be transported. To my surprise I was informed that transport had been made, no one was in the house to answer the door I was told, so the driver dropped the load off next to a picket fence and car covered with a car cover. To which I replied, I was at home that day and that's not a description of my front drive. We'll check with the driver and call you back came the response. Whilst waiting I decided to have a walk up and down the street, and sure enough I found the goods had been dropped off in another persons front garden, halfway down the street on the other side of the road. I knocked at the door and a lady answered, I told her the goods had been meant for me. She said I was just in time as she was about to call the police, I apologised for the inconvenience and advised I would arrange for it to be removed. So, with the aid of a friend, the boards were removed one at a time and marched up the street to the correct address.
Why TP was there no telephone call to agree/confirm the transport date.
